The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a live, interactive traffic map is now available for use on the I-84 Project website (www.i-84waterbury.com) on the Home page and under View Traffic Cameras on the Making the Commute and Construction Alerts website pages.
The live interactive traffic map is specific to the project area. The map shows eastbound and westbound traffic flow, viewable variable message signs, traffic cameras and speed sensors.
The variable message signs will be used to provide advance warning of events and to provide information on traffic conditions, including estimated time of travel through the area.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working to inform local residents of current and upcoming construction activities through project newsletters, press notices, travel alerts, social media, as well as the I-84 Waterbury project website.
