Bridges

Bridge 4321 (Hamilton Avenue over I-84)

• Form and pour pier 1 stems
• Form and pour abutment 1 & 2 stem

Bridge 6590 (EB 23 on ramp)

• Pour and form wingwall stems, and pier cap

Bridge 1224 (I-84 bridge over Mad River, western crossing)

• Set structural steel and bolt up
• Install overhang brackets
• Backfill and grade east/west approach to bridge

Bridge 6284 (future EB 25 off ramp)

• Form and pour wingwall 2 stem wall, and footing
• Form and pour parapets

Bridge 1228 (Scott Road Bridge)

• Install utilities at underground approaches to bridge

Retaining Walls

Retaining Wall 101 (along WB I-84 and east of WB 23 off ramp)
Install moment slab

Retaining Wall 102 and 103 (along both sides of EB 23 on ramp)

• Backfill and set precast wall panels

Retaining Wall 106 (north of WB I-84 west of WB 25 off ramp)

• Continue soil nail and excavation
• Form and pour leveling pad, east end
• Rig and set blocks, east end

I-84

I-84 Mainline; WB Hamilton Avenue to WB 23 off ramp

• Grade and box out roadway for widening

Future EB 23 on ramp, east of Hamilton Avenue

• Install sound barrier wall

EB 23 off ramp

• Remove graffiti on sound barrier wall

I-84 EB – from EB 25 on ramp to Pierpont Road

• Install drainage pipe and structures

Local Roads

Reidville Drive

• Culvert 1227 (east of rock cut and under I-84) – Form and pour culvert formwork at inlet

Future Plank Road East (adjacent to existing WB 25 on ramp, along west end of Retaining Wall 106)

• Cut to subgrade
• Culvert 02537 (Beaver Pond Brook under I-84, south of WB 25 on ramp) Complete parapet and moment slab for Retaining Wall 108

Night Work

• No night work on the project this week.
• Night work will resume Sunday, July 9 at 9:30 PM.

Waste Stockpile Area (WSA)/Temporary Reuse Stockpile Area (TRSA)

Trucking of controlled materials from WSA on Route 322 at Exit 28 to disposal facility (ongoing); Trucking excavated material to TRSA at Exit 30 WB.

Holiday Work Schedule

No Lane Closures are Scheduled on the I-84 Waterbury Project in Observance of the Fourth of July Weekend.

• No work will be performed on the Project from Saturday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 4.
• Day shift will resume on Wednesday morning, July 5.
• Night shift with potential lane closures on I-84 will resume on Sunday, July 9 at 9:30 PM
• Only work of an emergency nature will be considered.
