I-84 EB 23 On Ramp New Temporary Reconfiguration

The existing I-84 eastbound (EB) 23 on ramp east of Hamilton Avenue Bridge is permanently closed, and new temporary on ramps are in place, to allow for construction of the new eastern portion of Hamilton Avenue Bridge and new EB 23 on ramp bridge.

• The temporary looped on-ramp, from Hamilton Avenue, follows the path of the EB 23 off ramp heading west, then loops around to the east, with a stop sign where the ramp meets with the on-ramp from downtown Waterbury. Traffic enters I-84 EB, west of Hamilton Avenue Bridge, and goes under the bridge.

• The I-84 EB on ramp, from McMahon and Baldwin Streets in downtown Waterbury, now originates on the far left lane of the existing ramp, and traffic enters I-84 EB just west of Hamilton Avenue Bridge.
