Westbound I-84 Traffic Shift to the North from Pierpont Road Vicinity

Beginning Thursday night, August 25, both lanes of I-84 westbound traffic will be shifted to the north, adjacent to its current path, west of Pierpont Road to the vicinity of Exit 25.

It is important to note that currently the highway narrows from three lanes to two in the westbound direction near the Exit 25A (Austin Road) off ramp, by having the right lane ending and merging to the left.

In the new configuration, the highway will still narrow from three lanes to two, but this will be accomplished by the left lane ending and merging to the right.

Advance warning signs, lane markings/arrows and variable message signs will be used to notify drivers.

This temporary shift is for construction work in the median between Pierpont Road and the WB Exit 25 off ramp.
